Butte County

Measure A – NO

Measure A is referendum on a highly restrictive medical cannabis cultivation ordinance adopted by the Board of Supervisors. Voting no means you reject the undesirable ordinance and want it overturned.

Measure B – YES

Measure B is a more reasonable ordinance regulating medical cannabis. Patients and advocates support Measure B as an alternative to a highly restrictive medical cannabis cultivation ordinance adopted by the Board of Supervisors.

Encinitas

Measure F – YES

Measure F will allow for legal, well-regulated medical cannabis dispensaries in the city.

La Mesa

Measure J – YES

Measure J repeals the city’s existing ban on medical cannabis dispensaries and creates regulations for their safe and legal operation. 

Lake County

Measure O – YES

Measure O will repeal the county’s strict medical cannabis rules and replace them with more reasonable regulations.

Measure P – No Position

Measure P seeks to create “a fundamental right to gardening and cultivation of natural plants for personal use.” ASA acknowledges the good intentions in the measure. However, research and experience show that sensible regulations benefit patients and communities.

Nevada County

Measure S – YES

Measure S repeals onerous restriction on medical cannabis cultivation and replaces them with more reasonable regulations. Measure S is sponsored by the Nevada County ASA Chapter.

Santa Ana

Measure BB – No Position

Measure BB is a measure designed by the city council to compete with another medical cannabis measure on the November ballot. ASA prefers and supports Measure CC.

Measure CC – YES

Measure CC is a citizen-referred measure that will repeal the city’s ban on medical cannabis patients cooperatives and collectives and establish more reasonable regulations than those proposed by the City Council’s competing ballot measure.

Santa Cruz

Measure L – NO

Measure L would authorize a new tax on medical cannabis of up to 7%, with funds going to local schools. It is not fair for patients to bear the burden of funding the schools. Everyone in the community should share the cost.

Santa Cruz County

Measure K – NO

Measure K would authorize an additional county business tax of up to 10% on medical cannabis businesses and organizations, with funds dedicated to essential services. It is not fair for patients to bear the burden of funding county services. Everyone in the community should share the cost.

Shasta County

Measure A – NO

Measure A is a veto referendum on a county ordinance that sets strict limits on medical cannabis cultivation. Voting no means you want to repeal the undesirable county ordinance.
